Aashi Verma’s Unforgettable Europe Tour Review with Thrillophilia

Some journeys begin with a wish so deep and personal that it stays in the corners of the heart, waiting patiently for the right time. For Aashi Verma, that wish was her mother’s persistent dream to see Europe. It had stayed through years of work, family responsibilities, and daily life.
One evening in early 2024, as her mother paused on a travel show featuring the snow-covered Alps and cobblestone streets of Paris, Aashi caught the expression in her eyes. That pause and that silence said it all. “Let us make it happen,” Aashi told her softly. Her mother’s surprised smile was the only answer she needed.
With the right help from Thrillophilia, who guided them through bookings, planning, and arrangements, Aashi and her mother boarded a flight to Paris in June 2024.
Wandering Through the City of Paris
The first evening in Paris was gentle with warm Indian food and a calming hotel check-in. But the real moment came when the Eiffel Tower sparkled against the night sky.

While standing beneath its tall lights, her mother clutched Aashi’s hand tightly. “I used to draw this in my college journals,” she whispered. It was a moment neither of them would ever forget.
The next morning was a whirlwind of classic Paris. They wandered through the grand halls of the Louvre, where the Mona Lisa watched over curious crowds, and admired Venus de Milo in its timeless grace. A boat cruise along the Seine River offered soft breezes, stunning bridges, and reflections of Paris they had only read about before.

Day 3 brought a choice between Disneyland Paris and time for self-exploration. They chose the latter. “Let us walk through Paris instead,” her mother said. They sipped espresso in sidewalk cafés, sampled macarons, and window-shopped in boutiques. There was laughter and stories as they soaked in the charm of the city.
The Brussels and Amsterdam
Day 4 took them to Brussels where the Grand Place left them stunned with its golden buildings. At the Manneken Pis, they joined other tourists in amusing photographs. “I always thought it was much bigger!” her mother laughed.
They visited St. Michael’s Cathedral, and its tall Gothic architecture was quite fascinating when seen in person. As they walked the cobbled lanes, the smell of Belgian waffles wafted through the air. While sharing one with a warm chocolate drizzle, her mother sighed, “Now I know what all the fuss is about.”

Later that afternoon, they arrived in Amsterdam. The moment her mother saw the serene canals and iconic houses lining them, she said, “It looks like a painting.”
The next day, they picked the Zaanse Schans and Marken tour over the Tulip Gardens. Watching clogs being crafted and cheese being made the traditional way was a fresh experience. “Your grandfather would have loved this,” her mother said while holding a block of Gouda close.
The Amsterdam canal cruise under city lights looked dreamy in the evening. As they glided through the water, Aashi watched her mother fall into a quiet and reflective mood. “This... this is what I imagined,” she whispered.
From Germany to Switzerland
On Day 6, they reached Cologne in Germany. The Cologne Cathedral stood like a sentinel from the past. “It is humbling,” her mother said while admiring the massive stained-glass windows and tall spires.

They then travelled to Frankfurt to rest before entering the heart of the Alps.
Driving through the Black Forest, the beauty of lush woods, traditional houses, and winding roads was mesmerising.
At Rhine Falls, Aashi’s mother stood near the edge and let the cold mist touch her face. “It is so powerful… like life itself,” she murmured.
By Day 8, they found themselves ascending Mt. Titlis. The rotating cable car offered breathtaking views of snowfields and rough peaks. On the Cliff Walk, Aashi held her mother’s hand tightly. “I am not scared,” her mom said while smiling bravely.

Later, the Chapel Bridge, Lake Lucerne, and the Lion Monument in Lucerne rounded off the day. They browsed shops for Swiss chocolates, bells, and keepsakes.
Crystal Dreams and Floating Fantasies
On the tenth day, they travelled to Vaduz. A tram tour revealed postcard-worthy views of tiny homes, green hills, and mountains that reached the sky.
Their next stop was the dazzling Swarovski Crystal World in Austria. Her mother walked through rooms of art installations made entirely of crystals.

In Innsbruck, they visited the Golden Roof and strolled through the Old Town while local musicians played softly in the square. Aashi clicked countless photos, but it was her mother’s relaxed smile she wanted to capture most.
They arrived in Venice on Day 11. A Vaporetto ride brought them to St. Mark’s Square, where pigeons fluttered, and violins played in the background. They also explored the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
Sunsets, Sculptures, and Saying Goodbye
On Day 12, they reached Pisa. The Leaning Tower was surrounded by crowds striking creative poses. Aashi and her mother joined in and laughed out loud at their pictures.

They continued to Florence, stopping at Piazzale Michelangelo as the sun dipped over the city’s skyline. It was golden, calm, and magical. “This is my favourite sunset,” her mother said.
Their final destination was Rome. Aashi watched her mother light up in Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. “I studied all this in school,” she said in wonder, “but seeing it with my own eyes is something else.”
They also drove past the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Piazza Venezia while stopping for gelato.
Back in their hotel room, they packed their bags for the last time. On their bed, they talked about every memory, every shared laugh, and every quiet moment that had brought them closer than ever.
