Ahmad’s Singapore Night Safari Experience with Thrillophilia

Ahmad’s Singapore Night Safari Experience with Thrillophilia

Ahmad Abu and his family decided to spend the evening together at the Singapore Night Safari. They were excited as Thrillophilia managed to include the experience in their itinerary last minute.

This trip was planned so that all generations within the family could enjoy something memorable together.

As they arrived at the gates of the Night Safari, they were excited to see what lay ahead. The air was humid, the sky had a tropical twilight feel, and there was the glowing entrance.

The Tram Adventure

In the evening, they boarded the tram ride to begin the experience. The open-sided tram rolled gently through 7 beautifully recreated habitats, like the Himalayan Foothills, Indian Subcontinent, and Equatorial Africa.

Ahmad sat beside his youngest son while his parents enjoyed the front view. As the tram curved through each zone, the family saw zebras, Asian elephants, and a giant anteater walking under the dim lights.

Each area was designed like the animals’ natural environments, and the narration over the tram speaker explained fascinating facts in a calm and engaging tone. The kids pointed excitedly at a Malayan tapir, while Ahmad’s wife snapped photos of Barasingha deer resting under trees.

For many moments, everyone on board was quiet because the sights were so captivating.

Trails That Led to Close Encounters

Once the tram ride concluded, Ahmad led his family toward the walking trails. They had a choice of four: Fishing Cat Trail, Leopard Trail, East Lodge Trail, and Wallaby Trail. Everyone was curious to explore more, so they decided to experience as much as time would allow.

They walked through the Fishing Cat Trail through dense vegetation that looked like Southeast Asian jungles. On the way, they saw pangolins, armadillos, and the fishing cat.

The children were amazed. They sat beside the railings and whispered every time they saw an animal in the shadows.

After that, they walked on the quieter and darker Leopard Trail. The family saw leopards, porcupines, civets, and even binturong on this track.

The East Lodge Trail was dedicated to the Asian and African species. They saw spotted hyenas, sloth bears, and the uniquely shaped babirusa here. Ahmad’s father stopped to read the signs and share small facts with the children to create tiny teaching moments.

Finally, the Wallaby Trail brought them into a landscape inspired by Australia and New Guinea. They walked past wallabies, sugar gliders, and brushtail possums. It provided a refreshing end to their explorations.

The Creatures of the Night Show

Later, Ahmad and his family went to the amphitheatre to watch the Creatures of the Night Show. As the lights dimmed, the show began. Trained animals like otters, civets, and binturongs performed alongside their keepers in a fun and informative way.

Everyone was amazed when the spotted hyena showed its strong jaws, and the whole crowd let out a gasp.

The children enjoyed the flexibility of the otters, which ran across platforms to solve puzzles and find hidden treats.

After the animal show ended, the family moved to another open area near the entrance where the Thumbuakar fire performance was about to start. The performers spun and tossed flaming torches, and the fire lit up the night sky in orange and red colours.

Dining Under the Moonlight

The family was hungry after the show, so they headed straight to the Tipi Tent dining area for dinner. The buffet setup had both local Singaporean cuisine and international dishes.

Ahmad’s children ate noodles and grilled satay skewers, while the elders enjoyed rice, vegetable curries, and tropical fruit. There were tables laid under gentle lighting, which offered a beautiful setting for the family.

The family sat together while smiling and talking about the best parts of the night. The kids could not stop talking about the leopard, while Ahmad’s mother remembered how smoothly the fishing cat moved through the shadows.

The Night Ends

By midnight, the safari ended, and the family exited the park with memories. The air was cooler now, and gave them one last peaceful walk through the beautifully designed park.

They took a few family photos near the entrance under the Night Safari sign. The children were tired, but they were still recounting everything excitedly.

Ahmad and his wife exchanged a quiet smile as everything had gone just as planned, and maybe even better. The booking through Thrillophilia had been smooth, and the entire experience was well-organised from start to finish.

They rode back to their hotel.

The Perfect Family Night

Ahmad’s visit to the Singapore Night Safari was educational, immersive, and enjoyable for all age groups. The mysterious walks along moonlit trails, the stunning wildlife show, and the fire performances were all perfect.

It was a beautiful journey through the animal kingdom after dark that would remain in each of their minds forever.
