Ajaykumar and His Wife’s Japan Trip with Thrillophilia

Ajaykumar and His Wife’s Japan Trip with Thrillophilia

Ajaykumar wanted to gift something special to his wife. So, he decided to take his wife to Japan on her birthday. With the help of Thrillophilia and their coordinator Deepshikha, he planned a 10-day journey through the beautiful country of Japan.

In March 2025, Ajaykumar and his wife landed at Tokyo International Airport. The city looked beautiful as they saw it in pictures. They spent the evening exploring the markets and waited for the adventure to begin.

A Day in Mount Fuji

The next morning, the couple went on a day trip to see Mount Fuji. The mountain looked beautiful in the distance as they took a boat ride across Lake Kawaguchiko. The reflection of the snowy peak on the lake also looked magical.

At Oishi Park, seasonal flowers bloomed along the pathways. The couple took photos, walked hand-in-hand, and admired the view of Fuji decorated by pink blossoms. Their guide led them to the lovely village of Oshino Hakkai, where they sipped spring water from one of the eight ponds and explored the thatched-roof houses.

They also climbed the steps up to the Chureito Pagoda at Arakurayama Sengen Park. From the top, they saw the pagoda, cherry blossoms, and Mount Fuji in one frame. A short visit to the Fuji Sengen Shrine gave them a peaceful break under tall cedar trees before they stopped at Gotemba Premium Outlets for some shopping and snacks.

Tokyo in Full Bloom

Back in Tokyo, the couple explored the city on a sightseeing tour. It was early morning in Asakusa, and the sky above Tokyo was starting to lighten. The smell of incense moved through the cool air as Ajaykumar and his wife walked through the giant red Kaminarimon Gate of Sensoji Temple. People were praying in the temple, and the sound of bells, flying omikuji fortunes, and glowing lanterns created a sacred atmosphere.

Ajaykumar’s wife stopped at the incense burner and waved the fragrant smoke towards herself for good health. He smiled and watched her wife perform the rituals.

They also visited Meiji Jingu Shrine, walked through tall torii gates, and rested under the forest canopy. At Shibuya Crossing, they stood in the middle of the busiest pedestrian intersection in the world and saw people passing by.

The couple wandered through Tsukiji Fish Market to taste sushi and snacks. Then they went up to the observation decks of Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower to soak in the beautiful views of the glowing city.

While enjoying the views at the Tokyo Tower, Ajaykumar gifted a beautiful necklace in a small box to his wife and wished her, “Happy Birthday!” It was the gift that he had secretly purchased from the Gotemba Outlets.

The next day, they visited TeamLab Planets. The couple walked barefoot through the deep water and illuminated rooms amidst floating flowers and mirrors. In the evening, they visited an open-air rooftop called the Shibuya Sky. During the sunset, they stood together and looked at the cityscape.

The Natural Wonders at Nikko

On the fifth day, the couple went to the north for a tour of Nikko. Their first stop was the Kirifuri Waterfall in the forest. They then visited the grand and colourful Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine and crossed the bright red Shinkyo Bridge.

They found a peaceful spot along the water’s edge at Lake Chuzenji, where they watched the soft ripples glowing under the sunlight.

Their last stop that day was Kegon Falls. As they went closer, the thunder of the waterfall grew louder. The sound of rushing water mixed with the fresh scent of the forest was one of the beautiful moments there.

A Train Journey to Osaka

The next morning, they took the Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka through the countryside. It was Ajaykumar’s first ride on this train. In just a few hours, they reached their destination and took a rest in their hotel.

On the seventh day, they joined a Kyoto and Nara tour. Their first stop was Nara Park, where deer wandered freely among the visitors. A deer walked up to them and bowed its head. They laughed and fed it a few leaves. It stayed for a moment before gently moving on.

From there, they moved to the Todai-ji Temple to see the Great Buddha inside the massive wooden hall.

In Kyoto, they walked through the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where tall bamboo stalks surrounded them. The breeze moved the leaves above and created a rhythm. They stopped at Tenryu-ji Temple amidst beautiful gardens and koi ponds. The golden pavilion of Kinkaku-ji also shimmered in the afternoon sun.

Their last stop for the day was the famous Fushimi Inari Shrine, where they walked under several red torii gates. They held each other’s hands and walked slowly.

A Peaceful Day in Kobe

On the eighth day, they took a private tour in Kobe. Their driver picked them up at the hotel and started the scenic ride. They first visited Kobe Port and watched the ships moving. Then they played with kangaroos and fed tropical birds in the aviary at the Kobe Animal Kingdom.

Later, they visited Kitano Ijinkan-Gai to see old Western-style houses that show the history of Kobe’s trading past. They ended their Kobe trip with a visit to a small Jain Temple situated in the city.

Farewell

After so much travelling, they took the ninth day to rest. They stayed in their hotel, packed their bags, and revisited photos on their phone. While looking through the pictures, they talked about the places they had been and ones they hoped to see someday.

The next day, they prepared to leave with nostalgia and excitement. Before leaving Tokyo, they made one last visit to the Sensoji Temple. They stopped in front of the main hall, dropped a coin into the box, and prayed. Both of them expressed gratitude for the memories they had made in Japan.
